The Newell-Fonda Mustangs softball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Northwest Webster Cougars to 3 in the Mustangs league win on Wednesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Bend-Mallard for a Twin Lakes battle on Friday, June 6. Newell-Fonda will confront a Wolverines team coming off a 13-1 non-league loss to Bishop Garrigan (Algona, IA). The Wolverines record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Northwest Webster moves to 1-2 on the season. The Cougars host Southeast Valley (Gowrie, IA) to confront the Jaguars in a Twin Lakes battle on Friday, June 6.
