Wisconsin High School Baseball - Kewaskum loses to Lake Country Lutheran
June 5, 2021: Hartland, WI 53029 The Lake Country Lutheran Lightning crushed the visiting Kewaskum Indians baseball team by a count of 16-10 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Lightning now possess a 21-2 record. They take the field next when they host St. Thomas More for a non-league bout on Monday, June 7. Lake Country Lutheran will face a Cavaliers team coming off a 6-0 non-league loss to New Berlin West (New Berlin, WI). The Cavaliers record now stands at 14-5.
Next, the Indians face the West Bend West Spartans (West Bend, WI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, June 7. Kewaskum will attempt to move on its 8-6 season record.
Game Summary
The bats matched the weather in game two - HOT! Ben Lubbers (4 RBIs) and Tim Frerking (2 RBIs) each had 3 hits including a triple and Gavin Theis had 3 hits with a double. Gavin and Tim each stole 3 bases as well. Gunnar Grosenick hit a solo home run.
Noah Howard and Sam Heicher each had 2 hits and 2 RBIs. John Nehls got the victory working the first 4 innings and Gunnar Grosenick got the save with 2 shutout innings of relief.
Lake Country Lutheran is now 21-2 overall.
