Iowa High School Softball - Algona bounces Southeast Valley
June 5, 2025: Gowrie, IA 50543 The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Algona Bulldogs (Algona, IA) and the host Southeast Valley Jaguars (Gowrie, IA), observed Algona's softball team get by Southeast Valley by a tally of 9-3.
The Bulldogs (4-3) will now prepare for their bout against Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS (Clarion, IA). The go into the North Central bout with a 0-6 record. In their last bout, Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS was routed by West Fork (Sheffield, IA), 8-0, in a non-league outing.
With the loss, Southeast Valley moves to 4-4 on the season. The Jaguars travel to Northwest Webster (Manson, IA) to encounter the Cougars in a Twin Lakes outing on Friday, June 6. The Cougars come into the outing with a record of 1-2. Northwest Webster lost 5-3 in their recent league outing against Newell-Fonda (Newell, IA)
