Iowa High School Softball - Columbus succumbs to Waterloo West
June 6, 2025: Waterloo, IA 50702 In Friday's non-league test, the Waterloo West Wahawks (Waterloo, IA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Columbus Sailors (Waterloo, IA), by a tally of 10-1.
Next, the Wahawks clash with the Jefferson Hawks (Cedar Rapids, IA) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, June 10. Waterloo West will attempt to advance on its 3-6 season record. The Hawks go into the test with a 3-4 record after their 8-0 league loss to Xavier (Cedar Rapids, IA).
The Sailors (1-7) will now prepare for their test against Denver (Denver, IA). The Cyclones go into the North Iowa Cedar - Central test with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Denver overcame South Hamilton (Jewell, IA), 9-1, in a non-league challenge.
