June 7, 2025: Carlisle, IA 50047 Pleasant Valley Spartans (Pleasant Valley, IA) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Carlisle Wildcats (Carlisle, IA), 10-5 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Pleasant Valley improves its record to 9-2 on the year. The Spartans host Assumption (Davenport, IA) to face the Knights in a Mississippi Athletic game on Monday, June 9. The Knights enter the game with a record of 8-4. Assumption lost 17-1 in their recent non-league game against Prairie (Cedar Rapids, IA)
The Wildcats now hold a 9-4 record. They play next when they travel to Boone for a Raccoon River game on Monday, June 9. Carlisle will face a Toreadors squad coming off a 6-4 non-league win over Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont (Eddyville, IA). The Toreadors record now stands at 7-2.
