With the triumph, Iowa City improves its record to 5-3 on the year. The Little Hawks travel to Dubuque Senior (Dubuque, IA) to face the Rams in a non-league contest on Tuesday, June 10. The Rams enter the contest with a record of 4-6. Dubuque Senior won 9-6 in their recent non-league contest against Southeast Polk (Pleasant Hill, IA)
The Stormin' Pointers now hold a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mt. Vernon for a non-league battle on Monday, June 9. Center Point-Urbana will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 9-1 non-league win over Newton (Newton, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 7-2.
