Iowa High School Softball - Ridge View topped by West Lyon
June 7, 2025: Holstein, IA 51025 West Lyon Wildcats (Inwood, IA) backers left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Ridge View Raptors (Holstein, IA), 12-4 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, West Lyon upgrades its record to 11-0 on the year. The Wildcats host Sheldon (Sheldon, IA) to play the Orabs in a Siouxland game on Monday, June 9. The Orabs enter the game with a record of 3-4. Sheldon won 12-11 in their recent non-league game against Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn (Hartley, IA)
The Raptors now own a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to West Monona for a Western Valley game on Monday, June 9. Ridge View will play a Spartans squad coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Cherokee Washington (Cherokee, IA). The Spartans record now stands at 7-4.
