Hanover Hawks (Mechanicsville, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Grafton Clippers (Yorktown, VA), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 21-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Halifax County for a non-league challenge on Friday, June 10. Hanover will face a Comets squad coming off a 12-2 non-league win over Loudoun Valley (Purcellville, VA). The Comets record now stands at 21-2.

With the loss, Grafton falls to 12-6 on the campaign.
