Minnesota High School Softball - Winona nudges Academy of Holy Angels
June 8, 2023: Richfield, MN 55423 Winona Winhawks (Winona, MN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Academy of Holy Angels Stars (Richfield, MN), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Winhawks now own a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Becker for a non-league challenge on Friday, June 9. Winona will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Cretin-Derham Hall (St. Paul, MN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-1.
With the loss, Academy of Holy Angels falls to 5-3 on the campaign.
