June 8, 2024: Moravia, IA 52571 Des Moines Christian Lions (Des Moines, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Moravia Mohawks (Moravia, IA), 9-8 in a non-league challenge.
The Lions now own a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they host Earlham for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, June 11. Des Moines Christian will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 12-3 league loss to Interstate 35 (Truro, IA). The Cardinals record now stands at 12-9.
With the loss, Moravia falls to 6-12 on the campaign. The Mohawks travel to Lynnville-Sully (Sully, IA) to face the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 8. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 3-10. Lynnville-Sully won 5-4 in their recent league challenge against Iowa Valley (Marengo, IA)
