Iowa High School Softball - Gilbert nudges Grundy Center
June 8, 2024: Gilbert, IA 50105 Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Grundy Center Spartans (Grundy Center, IA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Tigers now own a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they host A-D-M for a Raccoon River challenge on Monday, June 10. Gilbert will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Bettendorf (Bettendorf, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 10-6.
With the loss, Grundy Center falls to 6-8 on the campaign. The Spartans host East Marshall (Le Grand, IA) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Monday, June 10. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 11-2.
