June 9, 2024: West Des Moines, IA 50265 Bishop Heelan Catholic Crusaders (Sioux City, IA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Sunday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Dowling Catholic Maroons (West Des Moines, IA), 6-3 in a non-league test.
With the win, Bishop Heelan Catholic upgrades its record to 12-6 on the season. The Crusaders host Jefferson (Council Bluffs, IA) to battle the Yellowjackets in a Missouri River test on Tuesday, June 11. The Yellowjackets come into the test with a record of 2-17. Jefferson lost 5-3 in their recent non-league test against Denison-Schleswig (Denison, IA)
With the defeat, Dowling Catholic falls to 5-5 on the season. The Maroons travel to Urbandale (Urbandale, IA) to battle the J-Hawks in a CIML test on Monday, June 10. The J-Hawks come into the test with a record of 10-8. Urbandale won 9-7 in their recent league test against Ankeny (Ankeny, IA)
