June 9, 2025: Center Point, IA 52213 The crowd at Monday's non-league battle between the Center Point-Urbana Stormin' Pointers (Center Point, IA) and the visiting Mt. Vernon Mustangs (Mt. Vernon, IA), saw Center Point-Urbana's baseball team gain a win over Mt. Vernon by a tally of 9-1.
The Stormin' Pointers (2-8) will now prepare for their battle against Independence (Independence, IA). The Mustangs enter the non-league battle with a 7-8 record. In their last battle, Independence was overwhelmed by Wahlert (Dubuque, IA), 13-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Mustangs face the Marion Wolves (Marion, IA) in a WaMaC-East battle, on Thursday, June 12. Mt. Vernon will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Wolves enter the battle with a 9-3 record after their 7-6 non-league loss to Iowa City (Iowa City, IA).
