Pennsylvania High School Lacrosse - Springfield overwhelms Mt. Lebanon
June 10, 2023: Pittsburgh, PA 15228 The Springfield Cougars lacrosse team scored 15 points and held the host Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils to 8 in the Cougars non-league win on Saturday.
Game Summary
After a slow start for the Cougars, falling behind 5-2 after the first quarter, (So) Patrick Flaherty got Springfield off to a good start of the second quarter with 2 goals. Springfield scored 4 goals in the final 5 minutes of the first half to jump out to a 9-6 lead going into halftime. From this point on, (Sr) Aiden Kreydt and Flaherty, took control and led Springfield to a 15-8 victory, advancing them to the state semifinal game on Tuesday afternoon.
