Iowa High School Softball - Anamosa bounces Davenport Central
June 10, 2023: Anamosa, IA 52205 Anamosa Raiders (Anamosa, IA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Davenport Central Blue Devils (Davenport, IA), 8-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Raiders now sport a 6-7 record. They take the field next when they host Lisbon for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, June 14. Anamosa will face a Lions squad coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Alburnett (Alburnett, IA). The Lions record now stands at 13-3.
With the loss, Davenport Central falls to 7-12 on the campaign. The Blue devils host Pleasant Valley (Pleasant Valley, IA) to face the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Monday, June 12. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 9-2. Pleasant Valley won 15-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Jefferson (Cedar Rapids, IA)
