Iowa High School Softball - North Polk bounces St. Edmond
June 11, 2024: Fort Dodge, IA 50501 North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host St. Edmond Gaels (Fort Dodge, IA), 11-5 in a non-league challenge.
The Comets now own a 18-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Winterset for a Raccoon River challenge on Wednesday, June 12. North Polk will face a Huskies squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Saydel (Des Moines, IA). The Huskies record now stands at 12-9.
With the loss, St. Edmond falls to 10-2 on the campaign. The Gaels host Clear Lake (Clear Lake, IA) to face the Lions in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, June 12. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 8-5. Clear Lake lost 15-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Mason City (Mason City, IA)
