Iowa High School Baseball - Humboldt holds off Waterloo West
June 12, 2025: Humboldt, IA 50548 The Humboldt Wildcats baseball team scored 6 runs and held the visiting Waterloo West Wahawks to 2 in the Wildcats non-league win on Thursday.
The Wildcats now own a 14-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Webster City for a North Central test on Monday, June 16. Humboldt will play a Lynx team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Pocahontas (Pocahontas, IA). The Lynx record now stands at 6-10.
With the defeat, Waterloo West drops to 2-18 on the year. The Wahawks travel to Hempstead (Dubuque, IA) to play the Mustangs in a Mississippi Valley - Valley test on Friday, June 13. The Mustangs go into the test with a record of 7-4. Hempstead lost 14-11 in their recent non-league test against Pleasant Valley (Pleasant Valley, IA)
