Iowa High School Baseball - Mount Ayr defeats Southwest Valley
June 12, 2025: Corning, IA 50841 The Mount Ayr Raiders (Mount Ayr, IA) baseball trounced the host Southwest Valley (Corning, IA), 12-6 in Thursday's league challenge.
The Raiders now own a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they host Wayne for a Pride of Iowa challenge on Friday, June 13. Mount Ayr will clash with a Falcons team coming off a 3-2 league win over Southeast Warren (Liberty Center, IA). The Falcons record now stands at 3-5.
With the defeat, Southwest Valley drops to 4-5 on the year. The travel to Lenox (Lenox, IA) to clash with the Tigers in a Pride of Iowa challenge on Friday, June 13. The Tigers go into the challenge with a record of 10-5. Lenox lost 8-7 in their recent non-league challenge against CAM (Anita, IA)
