June 13, 2025: Donnellson, IA 52625 Central Lee Hawks (Donnellson, IA) supporters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Chariton Chargers (Chariton, IA), 6-2 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Central Lee improves its record to 14-2 on the year. The Hawks travel to Holy Trinity Catholic (Fort Madison, IA) to play the Crusaders in a SE IA Super - South game on Friday, June 13. The Crusaders enter the game with a record of 10-5. Holy Trinity Catholic won 12-0 in their recent league game against Danville (Danville, IA)
The Chargers now hold a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Fairfield for a non-league game on Saturday, June 14. Chariton will play a Trojans squad coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Cardinal (Eldon, IA). The Trojans record now stands at 7-6.
