June 14, 2025: Marengo, IA 52301 Columbus Wildcats (Columbus Junction, IA) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Iowa Valley Tigers (Marengo, IA), 5-4 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Columbus improves its record to 6-6 on the year. The Wildcats travel to West Branch (West Branch, IA) to face the Bears in a non-league game on Saturday, June 14. The Bears enter the game with a record of 3-6. West Branch lost 6-5 in their recent non-league game against B-G-M (Brooklyn, IA)
The Tigers now hold a 3-9 record. They play next when they travel to Colfax-Mingo for a South Iowa Cedar game on Monday, June 16. Iowa Valley will face a Tigerhawks squad coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Colo-NESCO (Colo, IA). The Tigerhawks record now stands at 3-8.
