June 14, 2025: West Branch, IA 52358 In Saturday's non-league test, the West Branch Bears (West Branch, IA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Columbus Wildcats (Columbus Junction, IA), by a tally of 13-6.
Next, the Bears clash with the Regina Regals (Iowa City, IA) in a River Valley - South test, on Monday, June 16. West Branch will attempt to advance on its 4-6 season record. The Regals go into the test with a 1-9 record after their 9-0 non-league loss to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IA).
The Wildcats (6-6) will now prepare for their test against Marquette (Bellevue, IA). The Defenders go into the non-league test with a 6-8 record. In their last test, Marquette was routed by Calamus-Wheatland (Wheatland, IA), 5-3, in a league test.
