Iowa High School Softball - Ames bounces Newell-Fonda
June 15, 2024: Ames, IA 50010 The Ames Little Cyclones routed the visiting Newell-Fonda Mustangs softball squad by a count of 12-2 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The Little Cyclones (16-9) will now prepare for their battle against Waterloo East (Waterloo, IA). The Trojans go into the non-league battle with a 2-17 record. In their last battle, Waterloo East was routed by Roosevelt (Des Moines, IA), 12-0, in a non-league battle.
The Mustangs now sport a 17-5 record. They play next when they travel to Southeast Valley for a Twin Lakes battle on Monday, June 17. Newell-Fonda will meet a Jaguars squad coming off a 7-2 league win over Storm Lake St. Mary (Storm Lake, IA). The Jaguars record now stands at 12-3.
