Iowa High School Softball - Wayne gets by Durant
June 15, 2024: Durant, IA 52747 Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Wayne Falcons (Corydon, IA) and the host Durant Wildcats (Durant, IA), witnessed Wayne's softball squad hold off Durant by a final score of 5-4.
The Falcons (15-2) will now prepare for their bout against Grand View Christian (Des Moines, IA). The Thunder go into the non-league bout with a 10-10 record. In their last bout, Grand View Christian was edged by Woodward-Granger (Woodward, IA), 7-6, in a non-league bout.
The Wildcats now possess a 11-11 record. They play next when they host Anamosa for a non-league bout on Monday, June 17. Durant will confront a Raiders squad coming off a 7-6 non-league win over Central DeWitt (DeWitt, IA). The Raiders record now stands at 5-12.
