Iowa High School Baseball - Southwest Valley holds off Nodaway Valley
June 16, 2025: Greenfield, IA 50849 The crowd at Monday's non-league battle between the Southwest Valley (Corning, IA) and the host Nodaway Valley Wolverines (Greenfield, IA), saw Southwest Valley's baseball team gain a win over Nodaway Valley by a tally of 5-1.
The (5-6) will now prepare for their battle against Stanton (Stanton, IA). The Vikings enter the non-league battle with a 5-6 record. In their last battle, Stanton held off Essex (Essex, IA), 15-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Wolverines face the Mount Ayr Raiders (Mount Ayr, IA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, June 17. Nodaway Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Raiders enter the battle with a 9-2 record after their 10-0 league win over Central Decatur (Leon, IA).
