June 18, 2025: Waverly, IA 50677 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Saydel Eagles (Des Moines, IA) and the host Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks (Waverly, IA), saw Saydel's baseball team gain a win over Waverly-Shell Rock by a tally of 4-2.
The Eagles (15-4) will now prepare for their battle against North Polk (Alleman, IA). The Comets enter the non-league battle with a 10-8 record. In their last battle, North Polk by Linn-Mar (Marion, IA), 6-5, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Go-Hawks face the New Hampton Chickasaws (New Hampton, IA) in a Northeast Iowa battle, on Thursday, June 19. Waverly-Shell Rock will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Chickasaws enter the battle with a 19-3 record after their 4-2 league win over Charles City (Charles City, IA).
