Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC), 8-6 in a non-league test.

With the win, Ashley upgrades its record to 14-3 on the season. The Screaming Eagle host Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC) to battle the Bengals in a non-league test on Tuesday, June 22. The Bengals come into the test with a record of 13-3. Fuquay - Varina won 7-1 in their recent non-league test against Hoggard (Wilmington, NC)

With the defeat, Purnell Swett falls to 11-6 on the season.
