Iowa High School Baseball - Kennedy prevails West Liberty
June 19, 2024: West Liberty, IA 52776 The Kennedy Cougars baseball team scored 12 runs and held the host West Liberty Comets to 3 in the Cougars non-league win on Wednesday.
The Cougars now hold a 26-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Waterloo West for a Mississippi Valley - Valley test on Friday, June 21. Kennedy will play a Wahawks team coming off a 14-4 non-league loss to Davenport Central (Davenport, IA). The Wahawks record now stands at 5-21.
With the defeat, West Liberty drops to 11-13 on the year. The Comets travel to Mid-Prairie (Wellman, IA) to play the Golden Hawks in a non-league test on Thursday, June 20. The Golden Hawks go into the test with a record of 16-7. Mid-Prairie won 12-6 in their recent non-league test against Fairfield (Fairfield, IA)
