Iowa High School Softball - West Monona edges St. Mary's
June 19, 2025: Remsen, IA 51050 In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting West Monona Spartans softball team scored a tight 5-3 victory over the St. Mary's Hawks.
The Spartans (13-6) will now prepare for their match against River Valley (Correctionville, IA). The Wolverines go into the Western Valley match with a 5-11 record. In their last match, River Valley tipped Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove (Ida Grove, IA), 10-2, in a league match.
In their next game, the Hawks battle the George-Little Rock Mustangs (George, IA) in a War Eagle match, on Monday, June 23. St. Mary's will attempt to better on its 6-4 season record. The Mustangs go into the match with a 2-9 record after their 9-1 league loss to South O'Brien (Paullina, IA).
