June 21, 2025: Ackley, IA 50601 The Belmond-Klemme Broncos softball squad (Belmond, IA), was edged 9-8 in Saturday's non-league contest with the host AGWSR Cougars (Ackley, IA)
With the triumph, AGWSR improves its record to 7-14 on the year. The Cougars host Grundy Center (Grundy Center, IA) to face the Spartans in a North Iowa Cedar - West contest on Monday, June 23. The Spartans enter the contest with a record of 14-6.
The Broncos (8-3) will now prepare for their test against Garner-Hayfield/Ventura (Garner, IA). The Cardinals go into the Top of Iowa-West test with a 6-8 record. In their last test, Garner-Hayfield/Ventura held off West Hancock (Britt, IA), 6-4, in a league test.
