Iowa High School Softball - Van Meter bounces Fairfield
June 21, 2025: Fairfield, IA 52556 The Van Meter Bulldogs (Van Meter, IA) softball routed the host Fairfield Trojans (Fairfield, IA), 8-2 in Saturday's non-league outing.
The Bulldogs now sport a 21-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Interstate 35 for a West Central outing on Monday, June 23. Van Meter will encounter a Roadrunners team coming off a 8-2 league win over Woodward-Granger (Woodward, IA). The Roadrunners record now stands at 7-5.
With the loss, Fairfield moves to 11-8 on the season. The Trojans host Fort Madison (Fort Madison, IA) to encounter the Bloodhounds in a Southeast outing on Monday, June 23. The Bloodhounds come into the outing with a record of 6-6. Fort Madison won 16-4 in their recent league outing against Keokuk (Keokuk, IA)
