Iowa High School Softball - Fairfield sneaks past West Liberty
June 21, 2025: West Liberty, IA 52776 The Fairfield Trojans softball team scored 6 runs and held the host West Liberty Comets to 5 in the Trojans non-league win on Saturday.
The Trojans now sport a 11-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fort Madison for a Southeast battle on Monday, June 23. Fairfield will confront a Bloodhounds team coming off a 16-4 league win over Keokuk (Keokuk, IA). The Bloodhounds record now stands at 6-6.
With the loss, West Liberty moves to 9-4 on the season. The Comets host West Branch (West Branch, IA) to confront the Bears in a River Valley - South battle on Monday, June 23. The Bears come into the battle with a record of 5-8. West Branch lost 7-2 in their recent league battle against Regina (Iowa City, IA)
