Iowa High School Baseball - Northwest defeats Gilbert
June 23, 2023: Gilbert, IA 50105 Northwest Wolves (Waukee, IA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, IA), 9-2 in a non-league test.
With the win, Northwest upgrades its record to 9-11 on the season. The Wolves host Ankeny (Ankeny, IA) to battle the Hawks in a non-league test on Monday, June 26. The Hawks come into the test with a record of 16-14. Ankeny won 11-1 in their recent non-league test against Carlisle (Carlisle, IA)
With the defeat, Gilbert falls to 7-10 on the season. The Tigers travel to Solon (Solon, IA) to battle the Spartans in a non-league test on Saturday, June 24. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 7-9.
