Iowa High School Softball - Carlisle holds off Williamsburg
June 24, 2023: Williamsburg, IA 52361 The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Carlisle Wildcats (Carlisle, IA) and the host Williamsburg Raiders (Williamsburg, IA), saw Carlisle's softball squad nip Williamsburg by a count of 4-2.
The Wildcats now sport a 24-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Polk for a non-league match on Monday, June 26. Carlisle will face a Comets squad coming off a 12-0 non-league win over East Marshall (Le Grand, IA). The Comets record now stands at 21-3.
With the loss, Williamsburg falls to 27-4 on the campaign. The Raiders host Prairie (Cedar Rapids, IA) to face the Hawks in a non-league match on Saturday, June 24. The Hawks enter the match with a record of 8-4. Prairie won 11-6 in their recent non-league match against Dubuque Senior (Dubuque, IA)
