June 24, 2023: Eddyville, IA 52553 Hempstead Mustangs (Dubuque, IA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Rockets (Eddyville, IA), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Mustangs now sport a 16-4 record. They take the field next when they host Linn-Mar for a non-league challenge on Thursday, June 29.
With the loss, Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont falls to 13-11 on the campaign. The Rockets travel to Centerville (Centerville, IA) to face the Big Reds/Redettes in a non-league challenge on Monday, June 26. The Big Reds/Redettes enter the challenge with a record of 10-11.
