June 25, 2025: Leon, IA 50144 The Chariton Chargers triumphed over the host Central Decatur Cardinals softball squad by a score of 24-5 in Wednesday's non-league game.
With the triumph, Chariton improves its record to 14-3 on the year. The Chargers travel to Centerville (Centerville, IA) to play the Big Reds/Redettes in a South Central game on Thursday, June 26. The Big Reds/Redettes enter the game with a record of 11-7.
The Cardinals now hold a 3-12 record. They play next when they host Mormon Trail for a non-league game on Wednesday, June 25. Central Decatur will play a Saints squad coming off a 11-1 league loss to Ankeny Christian Academy (Ankeny, IA). The Saints record now stands at 4-7.
