The Jefferson Yellowjackets softball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Lincoln Lynx to 1 in the Yellowjackets league win on Thursday.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 5-19 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sioux City North for a Missouri River battle on Tuesday, June 30. Jefferson will encounter a Stars team coming off a 9-1 non-league loss to Newell-Fonda (Newell, IA). The Stars record now stands at 21-9.

With the loss, Lincoln moves to 6-22 on the season. The Lynx travel to Underwood (Underwood, IA) to encounter the Eagles in a non-league battle on Monday, June 29.
