Iowa High School Softball - Newman Catholic bounces Crestwood
June 26, 2023: Mason City, IA 50401 Newman Catholic Knights (Mason City, IA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Crestwood Cadets (Cresco, IA), 6-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Knights now sport a 18-5 record. They take the field next when they host Central Springs for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, June 27. Newman Catholic will face a Panthers squad coming off a 25-0 non-league win over Northwood-Kensett (Northwood, IA). The Panthers record now stands at 19-5.
With the loss, Crestwood falls to 11-13 on the campaign. The Cadets host Decorah-North Winneshiek (Decorah, IA) to face the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Thursday, June 29. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 13-10.
