Iowa High School Softball - West Lyon bounces Bishop Heelan Catholic
June 26, 2024: Inwood, IA 51240 The West Lyon Wildcats softball team scored 15 runs and held the visiting Bishop Heelan Catholic Crusaders to 2 in the Wildcats non-league win on Wednesday.
The Wildcats now sport a 19-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Okoboji for a Siouxland battle on Thursday, June 27. West Lyon will confront a Pioneers team coming off a 10-0 league loss to MOC-Floyd Valley (Orange City, IA). The Pioneers record now stands at 4-10.
With the loss, Bishop Heelan Catholic moves to 10-10 on the season. The Crusaders travel to Sioux City East (Sioux City, IA) to confront the Black Raiders in a non-league battle on Thursday, June 27. The Black Raiders come into the battle with a record of 11-7. Sioux City East lost 14-3 in their recent non-league battle against Waukee (Waukee, IA)
