June 27, 2024: Bend, OR 97701 The Bend Lava Bears baseball team scored 2 runs and held the visiting Canby Cougars to 1 in the Lava Bears non-league win on Thursday.
The Lava Bears now hold a 12-16 record. They take the field next when they host Centennial for a non-league test on Saturday, June 29. Bend will play a Eagles team coming off a 4-1 league loss to Canby (Canby, OR). The Eagles record now stands at 11-13.
With the defeat, Canby moves to 26-6 on the season. The Cougars host Centennial (Gresham, OR) to confront the Eagles in a 5A Northwest Oregon match on Friday, June 28. The Eagles come into the match with a record of 11-12.
