June 28, 2025: Grundy Center, IA 50638 The Grundy Center Spartans softball team (Grundy Center, IA), was routed 13-4 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Marshalltown Bobcats (Marshalltown, IA)
The Bobcats now sport a 13-18 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mason City for a Alliance Conference - North battle on Tuesday, July 1. Marshalltown will confront a Mohawks team coming off a 7-6 non-league win over Eagle Grove (Eagle Grove, IA). The Mohawks record now stands at 7-16.
With the loss, Grundy Center moves to 17-9 on the season. The Spartans travel to Charles City (Charles City, IA) to confront the Comets in a non-league battle on Monday, June 30. The Comets come into the battle with a record of 12-13. Charles City won 3-1 in their recent non-league battle against Bettendorf (Bettendorf, IA)
