June 29, 2024: Davenport, IA 52803 The Davenport Central Blue Devils softball team scored 6 runs and held the visiting Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks to 2 in the Blue Devils non-league win on Saturday.
The Blue Devils now sport a 13-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Scott for a non-league battle on Monday, July 1. Davenport Central will confront a Lancers team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Williamsburg (Williamsburg, IA). The Lancers record now stands at 22-4.
With the loss, Mid-Prairie moves to 7-18 on the season. The Golden hawks host West Branch (West Branch, IA) to confront the Bears in a non-league battle on Monday, July 1. The Bears come into the battle with a record of 7-19. West Branch lost 6-2 in their recent league battle against West Liberty (West Liberty, IA)
