Iowa High School Baseball - Mount Ayr defeats Southwest Valley
June 30, 2025: Mount Ayr, IA 50854 The crowd at Monday's league battle between the Mount Ayr Raiders (Mount Ayr, IA) and the visiting Southwest Valley (Corning, IA), saw Mount Ayr's baseball team beat Southwest Valley by a margin of 11-5.
The Raiders (14-4) will now prepare for their battle against Wayne (Corydon, IA). The Falcons enter the Pride of Iowa battle with a 6-9 record. In their last battle, Wayne was overwhelmed by Nodaway Valley (Greenfield, IA), 8-7, in a non-league battle.
Next, the face the Lenox Tigers (Lenox, IA) in a Pride of Iowa battle, on Tuesday, July 1. Southwest Valley will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 15-7 record after their 13-2 league win over East Union (Afton, IA).
