Iowa High School Softball - Davenport Central can't hold off Mt. Pleasant
July 1, 2023: Mt. Pleasant, IA 52641 The Mt. Pleasant Panthers softball team scored 6 runs and limited the visiting Davenport Central Blue Devils to 5 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, Mt. Pleasant moves its record to 5-23 on the year. The Panthers host Keokuk (Keokuk, IA) to clash with the Chiefs in a non-league game on Thursday, July 6. The Chiefs come into the game with a record of 4-23. Keokuk lost 11-0 in their recent non-league game against Central Lee (Donnellson, IA)
In their next game, the Blue Devils clash with the North Scott Lancers (Eldridge, IA) in a non-league game, on Monday, July 3. Davenport Central will attempt to move on its 8-26 season record. The Lancers come into the game with a 17-9 record after their 10-6 non-league win over Mid-Prairie (Wellman, IA).
