Iowa High School Softball - Williamsburg bounces Mid-Prairie
July 1, 2023: Wellman, IA 52356 Williamsburg Raiders (Williamsburg, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks (Wellman, IA), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Raiders now own a 30-7 record. They take the field next when they host Pleasant Valley for a non-league challenge on Saturday, July 1. Williamsburg will battle a Spartans squad coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Charles City (Charles City, IA). The Spartans record now stands at 26-8.
With the loss, Mid-Prairie falls to 16-20 on the campaign. The Golden hawks host Center Point-Urbana (Center Point, IA) to battle the Stormin' Pointers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, July 6. The Stormin' Pointers enter the challenge with a record of 18-17. Center Point-Urbana lost 7-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Benton (Van Horne, IA)
