July 2, 2024: Denison, IA 51442 The Denison-Schleswig Monarchs baseball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Okoboji Pioneers to 1 in the Monarchs non-league win on Tuesday.
The Monarchs now own a 18-9 record. They take the field next when they host Western Christian for a non-league game on Wednesday, July 3. Denison-Schleswig will play a Wolfpack team coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to Emmetsburg (Emmetsburg, IA). The Wolfpack record now stands at 1-16.
Next, the Pioneers play the Sioux Center Warriors (Sioux Center, IA) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, July 3. Okoboji will attempt to improve on its 9-13 season record. The Warriors go into the game with a 13-8 record after their 10-2 non-league loss to Le Mars (Le Mars, IA).
