Iowa High School Baseball - Newton defeats South Tama County
July 3, 2023: Tama, IA 52339 Newton Cardinals (Newton, IA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host South Tama County Trojans (Tama, IA), 5-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Newton upgrades its record to 12-17 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Bondurant-Farrar (Bondurant, IA) to battle the Bluejays in a non-league test on Friday, July 7. The Bluejays come into the test with a record of 23-13. Bondurant-Farrar won 10-0 in their recent non-league test against Atlantic (Atlantic, IA)
With the defeat, South Tama County falls to 4-25 on the season. The Trojans travel to Marion (Marion, IA) to battle the Wolves in a non-league test on Friday, July 7. The Wolves come into the test with a record of 26-6.
