Iowa High School Baseball - Johnston defeats Pella
July 3, 2024: Pella, IA 50219 The Johnston Dragons baseball team scored 13 runs and held the host Pella Dutch to 6 in the Dragons non-league win on Wednesday.
The Dragons now own a 30-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Iowa City for a non-league test on Monday, July 8. Johnston will clash with a Little Hawks team coming off a 7-6 non-league win over Mason City (Mason City, IA). The Little Hawks record now stands at 33-8.
With the defeat, Pella drops to 21-9 on the year. The Dutch host Ballard (Huxley, IA) to clash with the Bombers in a non-league test on Friday, July 5. The Bombers go into the test with a record of 16-12. Ballard won 4-1 in their recent non-league test against Hampton-Dumont/CAL (Hampton, IA)
