Iowa High School Baseball - Nodaway Valley held off by Southwest Valley
July 3, 2025: Corning, IA 50841 Southwest Valley (Corning, IA) fans left the game pleased Thursday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Nodaway Valley Wolverines (Greenfield, IA), 6-4 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Southwest Valley advances its record to 10-9 on the season. The travel to Earlham (Earlham, IA) to battle the Cardinals in a non-league match on Saturday, July 5. The Cardinals come into the match with a record of 9-18. Earlham lost 3-1 in their recent league match against Interstate 35 (Truro, IA)
The Wolverines now have a 4-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Central Valley for a non-league contest on Saturday, July 5.
