July 6, 2024: Manly, IA 50456 The Garner-Hayfield/Ventura Cardinals baseball team scored 12 runs and held the host Central Springs Panthers to 2 in the Cardinals non-league win on Saturday.
The Cardinals now own a 13-9 record. They take the field next when they host New Hampton for a non-league test on Tuesday, July 9. Garner-Hayfield/Ventura will play a Chickasaws team coming off a 17-1 non-league loss to Wapsie Valley (Fairbank, IA). The Chickasaws record now stands at 24-7.
With the defeat, Central Springs drops to 10-13 on the year.
