August 2, 2025: Pensacola, FL 32504 Aletheia Christian Academy Lions (Pensacola, FL) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting Pensacola Area Homeschool Phoenix (Pensacola, FL), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Aletheia Christian Academy improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Lions travel to Friendship Christian (Raleigh, NC) to face the Falcons in a non-league test on Thursday, September 4. The Falcons go into the test with a record of 0-0.
The Phoenix now own a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Florida Baptist Academy for a non-league test on Saturday, August 2.
Match Summary
Facing the Lady Lions and a couple of their former NetJets teammates in the second match, our girls felt more comfortable on the court. It was a back and forth affair in the first two sets, with our team getting a decisive victory in the second set. Unfortunately, our serving faltered in the tie-breaking set, when we had not much room for error, as the teams started out with 4-4 on the scoreboard. Combined with other mistakes, we fell behind and were unable to recover.
